These seem to be very sharp hooks and while they look like baitholders, they indeed are the octopus hook as advertised; but be aware, these tend to be larger than the size advertised. The title advertises these as a size SIX but the hooks are actually more like a size FOUR. If that's not going to be a big deal, then by far these hooks are the way to go and are worth every penny invested.I have stopped buying pre-snelled hooks because the cost is so crazy. I have actually lost weight while watching television at night because I spend the time tying leaders instead of snacking. If my hands were a bit more dexterous I could probably tie more but I get about ten done each night and I hope NEVER to lose that many hooks in one day of fishing.I had to get a refund on this order because these hooks are larger than the advertised size and I had ordered them for someone else who didn't want the larger hooks. My friend can't snell hooks at all and was going to pay me a little extra for these, but we ended up just going to a local bait shop and buying pre-snelled hooks on our way to the lake.Personally, I prefer a standard baitholder hook with the eyelet curved the opposite direction, but I expect I'll adjust and get used to the differences and may even decide to like these better than my current favorite.I haven’t tried these hooks yet but they are a heavy wired and a little small compared to name brand hooks. They are very sharp, the eye is large.Quantity over quality alot of the hooks have smaller than regular barbsUpdate on my experience with these hooks #8. The quality is a hit or miss, barbs are inconsistent causing many hookups to release the fish before I could land them. Some of the barbs are way too small. The eye of the hooks are also a hit or miss, some of them are not completely encircle and has a gap in between. At first I thought many just one or two were bad, so I gave a second chance on my next fishing trip, bad mistake. Talk about a wasted day. All my fish I got came off the hook. I had enough and decided to just throw them away. Don't buy these, they are junk and poor quality!!!Size 8#(200 per pack), It's says 200 per pack but you really only get 100 per pack. Deceptive advertising to make people think you will get 200 per pack. Beware to read description in detail.The description says circle hooks. I wouldn't consider these as circle hooks. The size seem to run small so I would order the next larger size.I haven't tested in water yet but I'm stoked with how sharp these hooks are right out of the pack.
